It's the time of the year again where we would be looking forward to another festive season of tanglungs, candle lightings and indulge in mooncakes when celebrating the fifteenth day of the eighth moon, around the time of the autumn equinox.
Yes. The Mid Autumn Festival.
Lucky us all, we're pampered with an array of mooncake flavours that has been hitting the market for quite sometime. Thanks to Feedmelah.com, we were invited to Hotel Equatorial's Mooncake preview showcasing their new mooncake flavours, with an adjunct of their classic offerings.
We were busy sampling their new different types of mooncakes:
Their Classic Collection includes Red Bean, Red Bean Green Tea, Pure Lotus, Low Sugar White Lotus, Pure Lotus Single Yolk, Mixed Nuts, Pure Lotus Double Yolk & Low Sugar White Lotus Single Yolk.
Under their mini mooncake selection, Hotel Equatorial offers the Shimmering Moonlight that resembles cute lil' gold ingots.
Along with these sweet darlings, the packaging comes pretty too.
Harvesting Happiness comes with six mid-sized mooncakes that includes the limited edition of fork and knife with porcelain handle.

After the mooncake preview session, the chefs from Golden Phoenix whipped up a rewarding feast for us all, introducing some of their new dishes and promoting their specialties.

We were entertained and given lessons on how the La Mien was made. Watch the chef in action.

Spoil ourselves with the Durian Pancakes. They just melt in our mouth! :)
Herbal Jelly with Coconut was very refreshing. Very thoughtful of them to serve us this thirst quenching and cooling serving after having the durians.
